Business Manufacturing Analyst

 

Experience/Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business and 5+years experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibilities in cost, financial accounting and reporting experience.

 

Job Description:
Provide overall strategic management of Business/Manufacturing Cost Analyst. Responsibilities will include financial analysis of our manufacturing and corporate operations.

 

Responsibilities include:
-  Manage, analyze & continually improve the Month End reporting package. Create analysis piece to the month end reporting package, including ratios.
-  Design, manage & continually improve manufacturing key manufacturing performance indicators.
-  Work with both manufacturing and accounting to finish routing and manufacturing data tracking. This person will be the ongoing center of this system.
-  Build, run & analyze monthly variance reports, including BOMs, manufacturing, machine & labor.
-  Run monthly production meetings to review results and collaborate with improvements
-  Track and manage ‘Management by objectives’ plan for management staff. Help participants measure their performance
-  Participate in expense and cash budgeting process. Analyze track and report budget performance.
-  Have several ad hoc projects going at all times, including ROI analysis on corporate decisions and other departmental requests to support continuous improvement projects.
-  Support, improve and analyze product costing efforts.
-  Create, Manage, Analyze and continually improve item P&Ls; customer P&Ls and divisional P&Ls
-  Build, model and manage pro-forma financial statement for 5 years out. Work with other departments to understand capacity and business planning.
-  Support controller and accounting team with special projects and team efforts.


Qualifications:
Successful candidate will be business minded [vs. accounting minded], can create and analyze all forms of financial statements. Comfortable in manufacturing environment, literally on the floor as needed, hands-on; able to create their own databases and spreadsheets as needed. Some product costing experience. Diplomatic, able to work with multiple departments, at all levels. Analytical; able to make conclusions about business units and operations, initiative; able to dig into areas of concern without direction.


Position requires pre-approval test and drug screening.
