On Time and Ready for Soup Season
Phase I of Blount’s new expansion has been completed on time and on budget.
“With soup season weeks away, our goal was to be operational August 1, 2010. "I am pleased to announce we have achieved our objective,” says Todd Blount President of Blount Fine Foods.
Bob Sewall, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, adds, “ This expansion is culmination of planning for the future. With our increased manufacturing now including dips and spreads, we have positioned ourselves for increased production, storage and delivery.”
Features of Phase I include:
- New spiral chiller to increase product cooling capacity
- New cold processing dip facility
- New state of the art multi head soup and dip fillers
- A 46,000 square foot modernized packaging, freezer and storage facility.
